1. Definition of personal information
The term “personal information” as used in this Privacy Policy means personal information as defined in Article 2, paragraph 1, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”). That is, personal information on a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained in the information (including information that can be easily collated with other information and thereby identify a specific individual).

2. Announcement of the purpose of use when acquiring personal information
When We collect personal information from You, We will disclose the purpose of use in advance in this Privacy Policy. However, this does not apply in the following cases:

4. Changes to the Declared Purposes of Use of Personal Information

7. Security Management of Personal Information

8. Supervision of contractors
1) We may provide personal information to a contractor designated by Us in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act. For example, We plan to provide information to a contractor in order to match personal information given by users with identification documents such as official identification cards provided by users.

2) The contractor set forth in the preceding paragraph is not authorized to edit personal information data, etc.

9. Restrictions on the provision of information to third parties
We will not provide users’ personal information to third parties, except in the following cases. (However, if We entrust all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use, it does not fall under the provision of personal information to a third party as described above. )

1) With users’ consent

6) hen users provide personal information to Us, they have been informed in advance or users can understand in a readily accessible condition that (i) the purpose of use is to provide to a third party, (ii) the items of personal data to be provided to the third party, (iii) the means or method of providing the information to the third party, and (iv) users can request to cease provision of personal data to a third party that identifies them, and We shall stop providing the information to a third party at a user’s request

7) When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to merger or other reasons

8) When personal information is used jointly with a specific person, and users have been notified in advance or users can understand in a readily accessible condition such fact, the items of the personal information to be used jointly, the scope of the joint users, the purpose of use by the users and the name of the person responsible for the management of the personal information. (2) We may provide BLOCKHAUS NZ Ltd. with personal information obtained by Us by e-mail, writing, facsimile, or other means to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use stated in 3 (10) above. However, We will immediately stop providing such personal information to third parties at a user’s request.

10. Disclosure of personal information and restrictions thereof
When users request that We disclose personal information, We will do so without delay after confirming that the request was made by said user However, if disclosure of personal information falls under any of the following conditions, We may decide not to disclose any or all of such information, and if We decide not to disclose such information, We will notify said user without delay

1) When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property or other rights and interests of a user or a third party

2) When there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper execution of Our business

3) If it would violate other laws and regulations.

11. Correction of personal information, etc.
If We receive requests to correct, add or delete users’ personal information (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) on the grounds that the personal information is not true, after confirming that the request is from the actual user, We will conduct the necessary investigation without delay to the extent needed to achieve the purpose of use, and based on the results of the investigation, We will correct or delete the content of the personal information and notify said user to that effect. (If We decide not to make correction, etc., said user will be notified to that effect.).

12. Suspension of use of personal information, etc.
In the event that We are requested by a user to suspend the use or delete a user’s personal information (hereinafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”) on the grounds that it has been handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use announced in advance, or that it has been obtained by deception or other wrongful means, after confirming that the request was made by said user, We will conduct the necessary investigation without delay, suspend the use of personal information, etc. based on the results of the investigation, and notify said user to that effect. (If We decide not to suspend the use, etc., the user will be notified to that effect). If Your request does not meet the requirements of Personal Information Protection Act, We may not be able to meet Your request. In addition, there may be an additional charge for correspondence.
